art photonics GmbH, founded in Berlin in September 1998, is one of the worldwide leaders in development and production of specialty fiber products for a broad spectrum from 300 nm to 16 µm. Unique technologies of Polycrystalline Mid InfraRed (PIR-) fibers and Metal coated Silica fibers are used for assembly of various spectroscopy probes for medical diagnostics and industrial process control, in volume production of fiber for medical and industrial lasers, for different fiber bundles, etc. Since January 2024 art photonics GmbH is a member of NYNOMIC GROUP
Brand Philosophy
Name of art photonics in 1998 was created due to 2 key reasons:
Photonics is under its fast development for the last 20 years, and fiber optics was one of its key components – coupling various optoelectronics components: lasers, LED, detectors, etc. and devices (laser systems, spectrometers, sensors, etc.) with numerous applications in industry, medicine, environment monitoring and scientific research;
Name of art was originally A.R.T. – abbreviated from “Advanced Research & Technology” in photonics, – as our fiber products portfolio was based on development of several unique fiber technologies – like extrusion technology of polycrystalline IR-fibers from Metal Halide crystals. Later on A.R.T. Photonics name was modified to art photonics – just because this name is more simple and reflects our real work to create and provide fiber solutions like the photonics art.
art photonics team of >25 today consists of high level professional specialists, including creative persons with academic background and PhD-degrees, – focused on realization of our motto “broad spectra fiber solutions”. This approach enables to satisfy OEM-customers by special development of customized fiber products to their demands – with a fast transfer into high volume, high quality production according the ISO-9001:2015. Broad variety of standard laser cables, spectroscopy probes, and other fiber products is also fast growing in result of R&D projects realized internally and with the best partners worldwide. These projects help to develop unique fiber products and technologies for very promising applications.
